You will receive one make-up lesson in the fall semester and two in the spring semester. These will only be granted for sickness or emergency reasons and if there is at least 24-hour notice given.
There will be no make-up lesson if Ms. Trisha is given less than 24 hours' notice and you will be charged in full.
Any additional missed lessons will not be eligible for makeup and you will be charged the full lesson.
If Ms. Trisha has to cancel your lesson for any reason (for example, an illness, family emergency, or a performance), a qualified substitute will be provided OR the lesson will be delayed by one week and a makeup lesson credit will be given.
Fall Semester makeup lessons will take place from Monday, December 16th to Friday, December 20th, 2024. If we are unable to find a time to make-up the lesson, you will be given a lesson credit for the following semester.
If you know more than 2 weeks in advance that you are unable to make a lesson, please contact Ms. Trisha to discuss options
-
Your lesson will begin promptly and end on time as scheduled.
If you arrive early, please do not knock on the door until your scheduled lesson time begins. Please be mindful of the students before and after you. Ms. Trisha will do her best to end lessons in a timely matter. Please do not disrupt other students' lesson time.
Your lesson time is a time reserved for you. If you choose to be absent, you lose the benefit of the missed class and the lesson will be forfeited. You will be charged in full.
-
Tuition is charged monthly with payment due on the first lesson of the month unless using a lesson package which will be charged on the first lesson of the semester.
If tuition is not received at the time of the invoice due date, a late fee of $25 will be charged.
Failure to pay may result in the removal of your studio spot.
Payment can be made with cheque, cash, or e-transfer.

Regular at-home practice is essential for progress. Please ensure that you have access to your instrument at home during the week.
For Ms. Trisha’s younger students, parents are required to enforce a regular practice routine of at least 5 days per week (exact durations can be discussed in lessons depending on level and age) and ensure that the weekly goals set by Ms. Trisha in their homework notebooks are met to the best of their ability.

Ms. Trisha is not responsible for any injuries that may occur or be worsened by playing the cello.
Ms. Trisha is not liable for any injuries sustained on studio property.
Children must not be left unattended on studio property before or after lessons.

There will be two cello studio recitals throughout the academic year, one during the fall semester and one during the spring semester. Please keep an eye out for emails from Ms. Trisha regarding the recitals and RSVP to them by the deadlines provided.
Recitals are an excellent motivating goal and platform for students to showcase their progress to their peers and invited family/friends. Please try to attend and participate in as many as you can!

To withdraw from private lessons, two weeks’ notice is required in writing to Ms.Trisha. Students may either take the two weeks worth of lessons, or forfeit them for the full cost. Remaining lessons can be credited or refunded after being discussed with Ms. Trisha
